Grown on the fertile slopes of Mount Kenya, this exceptional coffee comes from the Kiri Factory in Kenya’s renowned Kirinyaga region. Operated by the Ngiriambu Farmers Co-operative Society, the washing station brings together the harvests of approximately 1,200 smallholder farmers from the surrounding villages. Predominantly planted with the prized SL-28 and SL-34 varieties, these high-elevation coffees are carefully washed and processed to showcase the bright, vibrant character that has made Kenyan coffee famous around the world.

The result is a clean, expressive cup with lively acidity, layered sweetness, and remarkable clarity—an outstanding example of Kenya’s celebrated coffee-growing tradition.

Taken slightly darker into a medium roast, the profile becomes deeper and more rounded. Rich sweetness is complemented by darker fruit notes reminiscent of black currant and blood orange, while maintaining the balanced acidity and clarity that define exceptional Kenyan coffees.
