Single Origin Coffee - Dark Roast
Cocoa & Comfort
Current Origin: Peru
Productores de Jaén
Process: Wet Process (Washed)
Sourced from a collection of smallholder farmers in the highlands surrounding Jaén, Peru, this coffee is grown at an average elevation of 1,750 meters using primarily Caturra, along with small amounts of Typica and Bourbon. Each producer carefully processes their harvest at home using traditional washed methods before drying the coffee in parabolic drying houses or on sunlit patios. Through ongoing agronomy training and quality-focused partnerships, these farmers continue to improve both sustainability and cup quality, producing coffees that highlight the sweet, chocolate-forward character Peru has become known for.
Tasting Notes
Smooth, balanced, and incredibly approachable, this Peruvian coffee is the kind of cup that feels familiar from the very first sip.
Layers of milk chocolate and semi-sweet chocolate are complemented by subtle notes of roasted cashew and almond, while a creamy body and gentle sweetness create a rich, satisfying finish. A touch of cinnamon lingers at the end, reminiscent of Mexican hot chocolate, making this a comforting coffee that shines as both a daily brewed cup and a balanced espresso.
